Chichester Hub welcomes national and international female leaders to site

Fortescue’s Christmas Creek site recently welcomed over 40 of Australia’s most influential female leaders, giving them a glimpse into our thriving operations and cutting-edge decarbonisation initiatives.

The women leaders were all part of the Trans-Tasman Business Circle, a network organisation for senior leaders across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore that connects business and government.

The leaders were treated to an in-depth tour of our Christmas Creek operations, including Christmas Creeks Green Energy Hub and Green Iron Plant, which is currently under construction.

The group also visited our hardworking teams at Mobile Maintenance, watched ore being processed at the Ore Processing Facility (OPF) lookout and toured the Autonomous Operating Zone (AOZ) in-pit.

“It was an honour to showcase our operations to such a dynamic group of leaders,” says Christmas Creek General Manager, Joe Roso.

“Their praise for our ambitious decarbonisation targets and the sheer scale of our operations was fantastic for our teams to hear and only reaffirmed our path toward our 2030 Light on the Hill.”

Congratulations to Operational leaders and teams at Christmas Creek, as well as the External Affairs and Events team, for making this visit a success.
