Proposed Development

Significant exploration has been undertaken for the Blacksmith project since 2008. In this time, seven shallow iron ore deposits have been identified, containing significant concentrations of goethite and hematite.

In May 2024, a pre-feasibility study showed with a high degree of certainty that this project will be able to sustain operations for over 20 years. In this time, it will be able to deliver 5 million tonnes per annum of high-quality direct shipping ore product.

This project is targeting first ore to market in 2025, subject to completion of economic studies, regulatory and third-party approvals, and financing.
